We had a great time in Indianapolis this weekend, visiting Grandma and Grandpa Henn, Tutu and Grandpa Penna. We'll post pictures tomorrow, so they'll have their own special viewing time! For now, here are some fun things Katie likes to do with Dad.

Presents and friends!

Katie helped Dad unwrap the packaging on Mom's new golf clubs (what a great birthday gift!), and celebrated Mom's birthday and Father's Day with a brunch and her new barrette.

Katie also got a visit from Auntie Ellen and her 1 year old, Becca, in town from New York. Becca and Katie had a great time!

Finally, another matching outfit day with Auntie Caroline warrants some mutual admiration.

Swimming

We went to the gym and had a fathers day swim today. It was lots of fun! The pool at the park across the street is open now, but it was pretty crowded so we thought we'd wait until Katie was a little older to take her there. Maybe when she's a Big 9 Monthy Old.

For now, she and Dad just enjoy splashing indoors.

Botanic Gardens

On Sunday, we had a great trip to the Botanic Gardens in Glencoe (what's the difference between Botanic and Botanical, anyway?). Katie decided she would prefer to eat the flowers, but Mom and Dad didn't oblige. The weather was beautiful and we had a great time!

Exciting things Katie does

Katie has a new Duck Tub, which is a lot of fun and even makes quacking noises when you press its beak. It's the perfect place to play with a rubber ducky.

She likes to pull down her crib bumper to say hello when we come into her room after a nap.

She has also started eating (and wearing) Cheerios!
