Spring is here!

Spring has finally come to Chicago (we hope), and Katie is making the most of the weather. She and mom had a zoo day with some friends, and then the whole family walked to a nearby farmers' market on a recent Saturday morning. The Pennas also traveled to DC for a wedding and tried to see the sites, but the Rolling Thunder motorcycle rally made it impossible to get across Constitution Ave. so this is about as close as we got. We also had a great morning in Old Town Alexandria, but unfortunately had so much fun that we forgot to take any pictures.

New Sweater from Great Aunt Lynne

Katie received a beautiful sweater, knit by her Great Aunt, Lynne. She enjoyed playing with the packaging, and then looked quite cute in the new sweater. With Ladybug buttons!!

And, Katie is so happy about her cute sweater she is showing off her new teeth for the first time! (Click on the photo and it will get bigger so you can get a good look at the chompers.)

Weekend of May 3rd

The Penna family went to Indianapolis this weekend where Dad ran a half marathon with Mom, Katie and Granpa Penna cheering him on. Katie also visited with her grandparents, looked very cool while posing in her sunglasses, and engaged in general cuteness.






On Sunday, Aunt Caroline and others came for family dinner night, with Caroline and Katie in matching outfits (Katie with binky).
